General Information

What lace colour would be suitable for my skin complexion?
It is important familiarise yourself with the different lace types and lace colours that are available before purchasing a wig.
See the differences below :

HD: Suitable for all skin complextions. The lace is super thin meaning it blends in seamlessly into the skin.

Transparent: Ideal for people with a light to fair tone.  For medium - dark skin tones, it is recommeded to select medium brown lace, however transparet lace can be tinted darker if need be, using either a lace tint or makeup.

Medium Brown: Matches all true brown skin tones between medium - dark.
How do I care for my unit? Are there any products I should not use?
The best way to care for your unit is to maintain the unit well by doing the following:

1. Keep your unit covered at night - wear a silk bonnet or silk scarf to bed. Ensure that the lace is protected to avoid any lifting whilst you sleep.
TIP: The more you protect and keep your unit covered, the longer the installation will last.

2. Do NOT use heavy oils - Thick moisturising creams is a big NO NO! (unless the hair is curly). We recommend that you use dry oils or light weight serums e.g. Pantene, John Frieda or Tresemme (can all be found in your local Tescos, Superdrugs or Boots).

3. Wash your wig every 2 weeks! It is important to wash and condition your wig every so often or atleast once a week if it is an everyday unit. After washing, leave the hair in conditioner up to 30 minutes or up to 1 hour for a deep conditioning treatment. Rinse in warm water and let it air dry overnight.

4. Brush from the bottom up - Ensure that when you're brushing your unit, brush from the bottom going up to the root. Invest in a good detangling brush (also great for curling hair).

5. Wash your frontal/closure after each use - After removing your wig with lace remover oil or rubbing alcohol, it is very important to wash the lace immediately as this will stop the glue from embedding itself into the knots. Remove all the remaining glue residue left on the lace as this can cause long term damage to the frontal/closure such as "balding".
What head size are your wigs?
All of our units come as a standard medium cap size which fits 21.5 -22.5". If you require a smaller (20.5 - 21") or larger (23 -23.5") capsize, please specify this within the notes section when you add your item to the basket. Each wig comes with 3 combs, an adjustbable strap attached and elastic band.

What is the difference between a closure and a frontal?
Lace Closure:
The most obvious difference is the size. Closures tend to sit from temple to temple at a standard size of 4x4 (4 inches long and 4 inches wide).  These days, most clients will go with a 5x5 or 6x6 closure size as it is slightly bigger in size meaning there is more parting space. You may have also heard of 7x7 closures which is a bigger size closure, however this size is not as popular.

Lace Frontal:
A Frontal is known for giving a more natural effect as it sits from ear to ear, mimicking the natural hairline.  The standard size of a frontal is 13x4". Frontals give you more versatility as far as parting and styling goes as there is more parting space to do different looks such as, a half up half down. Do you like deep partings? Then you will love a 13x6 frontal.
How long does an installation last for and what is the best method to remove a wig?
An installation can last anywhere up to 2 weeks, however this does depend on how well you have maintained the wig. The most important thing to do is to keep the lace part of the wig covered as much as possible! Avoiding the following: Water, Gym, Steam, Oil and Makeup.

It is recommended that you cover the lace section by wearing a silk bonnet as much as you can. Luxury silk bonnets can be purchased via the link below:

To remove the wig, the best product to use is rubbing alcohol (can be purchased at your local hair/beauty supply store) and a cotton bud. Dip the cotton bud into the rubbing alchol and use the bud to help get under the lace, You should slowly start to see the lace peeling off. After the wig is off, you may find there is excess lace left on the skin, use a deep cleansing facial wash to help remove this.

If you have very sensitive or irritated/broken skin, it is advised that you DO NOT use rubbing alcohol as this can cause the skin to break, bleed or become more irritated. Instead, try using baby oil or lace oil.

I am a beginner with wigs, what wig type would you recommend?
Firstly, welcome to the world of wigs! You've came to the right place.

We understand how confusing it can be not knowing where to start as there are so many options to choose from. We recommend that for our beginner clients, it is best to go with a closure wig. They are easy to maintain, it can be made completely glueless (select HD lace) and it is suitable for everyday wear.

If you would like a more informative conversation about wigs, the different types, maintainence, pricing, or general questions you may have, please do take advantage of our consultation service

It is completely free to book, it takes place every Tuesday and Thursday at a specific time of your choice and lasts for approximately 20 minutes. And to make it easier, it is not face to face. The consultation is held over the phone. Copy and paste the link below to book:
